Beechtree Totalcare's Strawberry Fun in the Sun
The staff of Beechtree Totalcare dressed up as strawberries to entertain their clients with line dancing, as well as a strawberry tea, in Ramsgate on Saturday. Dancing to the tune of ‘Strawberry Wine’ were Lesley Lloyd, senior co-ordinator and Lynne Reed, a senior carer.
Beechtree Director Mary Becket said: “Every year we like to organise a small thank you and celebration both for our staff and for the people we care for. Most of the time we work with clients in their homes, so it makes a nice change for everyone to come out for a social occasion and just have fun. We had great feedback from everyone who attended – and a request that we go one better next year and have a barbeque!”
Beechtree Totalcare provides support to people in their own homes across Thanet and in and around Sandwich, specialising in dementia and physical disabilities.
“As well as enjoying the traditional cream tea with scones and fresh, local strawberries, we held a raffle and raised £92.00 which will be sent to the Carers Support Fund through the Alzheimers Society,” Mary added.
